Intraoral Massage Therapy

Intraoral massage therapy is a specialized form of bodywork focused on reducing muscular tension in the muscles of the head face and jaw, offering relief for a range of conditions.

By working on the external muscles of the face, neck, head and shoulders and also directly on the muscles within the mouth*, highly trained massage practitioners can effectively target areas that are difficult to reach through traditional massage methods.

Intraoral massage therapy may be beneficial for a variety of conditions, including:

  • TMJ Dysfunction: Intraoral massage can help alleviate these symptoms by releasing muscle tension and improving joint mobility.
  • Grinding and Clenching (Bruxism): Teeth grinding and clenching can lead to headaches, tooth damage, and jaw pain. Targeted massage can reduce the frequency and severity of teeth grinding  and clenching.
  • Facial Pain: Chronic facial pain, often related to muscle tightness, can be effectively managed through reducing muscle tension with intraoral techniques.
  • Headaches: Tension headaches caused by tight facial and jaw muscles can be alleviated with intraoral massage.
  • Post-Surgical Recovery: Patients recovering from dental or facial surgeries may benefit from intraoral massage to reduce swelling and promote healing.

Intraoral massage promotes overall relaxation and stress relief, contributing to better mental and physical health.
